Thank goodness for this survey, now I know 1/3 of my Facebook friends are liars.  Kidding, I love you!

Can you believe this?  A new survey out of London saying that women often lie and exaggerate on social media sites to make their lives more exciting. Researchers surveyed 2000 women and found that 1 out of 4 over hyped what they are doing on social media at least once a month.

The most common reasons for stretching the truth? Worrying their lives would seem boring if they didn’t,  jealousy of others posts and wanting to impress others.  Keeping up with the Jones’ anyone?

Here are the Top 5 things we’re lying about:

1. Saying you’re doing something when you are really home alone
2. How much alcohol you drank
3. What you did or are doing on vacation
4. Your job
5. Your relationship status

In defense of #2, sometimes when you keep drinking, one drink does feel like two, so I can see innocent confusion.
