Alex Sheen is the founder of “Because I Said I Would” A New Year of Promises.

“Because I Said I Would” is a social movement and non-profit organization dedicated to the memory of Alex’s father who died in September of small-cell lung cancer. This social movement is about keeping your commitments and promises.

On December 31st , 2012 Alex hosted The Promise Wall event at 5 different venues across the Cleveland, Ohio area.

The Promise Wall is the opportunity for people to share their New Year’s resolutions and encourage others to keep their commitments and reach their goals.

He also has started — 52 week long promises that he will complete over the course of this year. Each week he picks a task to take on and has one week to complete each task.
