Monday night, I talked about how my fiance and I almost went to jail over the weekend.  Here’s what happened.  The Marine Week Air Show was going on, and all kinds of roads were being closed by the Cleveland Police, for security, traffic and whatever other reasons.  Coming back from shopping, we tried to take the only road which led to our crib…yo.  The nice policeman (glad he wasn’t in full-on riot gear like THIS guy) said we couldn’t go down that road, and it would be closed for hours.  I kept asking him what the solution was, and he said, if I don’t keep moving, he would write us a ticket and take us to jail.  I really wanted to laugh.  But, ya’ know, we’re new in town, so I was thinking a trip to jail isn’t the best of impressions.  I called police dispatch down the road, and they told him to give us a police escort to our place.  I felt like the President.  Imagine THAT news story!  “Man tries to go home, but is sent to jail”.
