Hip-Hop mogul and Brooklyn Nets minority owner Jay-Z is following his basketball team with a new 40/40 Club to open in his beloved BK.
The Roc Nation head is building a 9,000 square-foot version of his posh sports bar/restaurant inside the Brooklyn Nets’ arena, the Barclay’s Center. The new 40/40 Club will be accessible to ticket-holders attending a variety of calendar events.
Jay-Z is also expanding his 40/40 Club franchise to airports nationwide following a recent deal with the Delaware North Corporation. The rhyme superstar unveiled a partnership with Duracell and Proctor & Gamble to market wireless charging systems and bring wireless hotspots at several locations including Jigga’s 40/40 Club at Madison Square Park in New York City.
“Mobile devices have become essential tools in business, entertainment and managing our social lives,” Duracell Powermat investor Jay-Z said in a statement. “Being able to charge wirelessly is a necessary step into the future.”
The new BK 40/40 Club is set to open on September 28.
